WILDFIRES AND THE HEALTH OF MOMS AND BABIES
March of Dimes is there for families during their pregnancy journey. Our heartfelt sorrow and thoughts go out to those affected by the wildfires in southern California.
As wildfires continue to threaten the Los Angeles area, March of Dimes stands with families navigating this crisis. Moms and babies are among the most vulnerable during disasters, and we’re committed to ensuring they have the care and resources they need. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to all who have been affected.
To support relief efforts for displaced families, March of Dimes has donated $10,000 to the National Diaper Bank and Baby2Baby in Los Angeles. Additional supplies, including diapers, onesies, and other essentials, have been distributed to families who need them most. Together with partners like Baby2Baby, the National Diaper Bank Network, and Fanatics, we’re making a difference for families impacted by these fires.
At the same time, our annual March for Babies campaign continues its mission to address the ongoing maternal and infant health crisis. Funds raised support vital programs that provide care and advocacy for all families, including those affected by the wildfires. Every dollar helps ensure moms and babies receive the support they need, during crises and beyond.
We’re grateful for our partners during this critical time, including:
The National Diaper Bank Network, which ensures every child, family, and individual in the US has access to basic essentials needed to thrive.
Baby2Baby, based in Los Angeles, which provides diapers, clothing, and necessities to children living in poverty.
Fanatics and the Fanatics Foundation, which are hosting distribution events at Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium, and BMO Stadium to provide mom and baby supplies to families displaced by the fires.
