Walk with us

By joining March for Babies, you can improve health outcomes for moms and babies in your local community and across the country. There's a maternal and infant health crisis in the US, which remains the most dangerous high-income nation for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.
● In the US, two babies die every hour, and one woman dies every 12 hours due to pregnancy and childbirth complications.
● The US preterm birth rate remains unacceptable, with 1 in 10 babies born too soon.
● The preterm birth rate is highest for Black and American Indian/Alaska Native babies. Black women are three times more likely to die during childbirth than White women, and Black babies are two times more likely to die before their first birthday than White babies.
5.5 million women live in counties with limited or no access to maternity care services, forcing families to find new ways to get the care they need.
A system failing moms and babies is a system failing everyone. Together, it’s on all of us to act now.

What is March for Babies
March for Babies is the nation’s oldest charitable walk, and March of Dimes’ largest fundraiser, with a powerful legacy of helping families.

More than a yearly walk, March for Babies is a community, bringing people together through events across the country and online. Families, friends, and co-workers can connect while raising critical funds for research, education, advocacy, and programs and services so moms and babies get the best possible start.
